Winter is just around the corner. The weather and roads are quickly turning into a slippery pothole-filled mess. It’s at this time of year that gravel bikes show just how versatile they can be. With increased tyre clearance, extra grip, room for mudguards and excellent handling gravel bikes are perfectly equipped for the challenges that winter road riding presents. With all this in mind, we now have extra stock of Orro’s terrific gravel bikes, the Terra G and the Terra C.
The Terra C is Orro’s carbon gravel bike. With clearance for tyres up to 42mm and plenty of room for mudguards the Terra C provides excellent grip and stability without coming at the expense of staying dry. If you are looking for extra features that add even more stability and reliability then the new Terra C GRX 1X bike might just have what you are looking for. The 1X version is fitted with flared bars for extra control in tricky situations and Shimano’s excellent new GRX600 1X groupset, which features a clutched rear derailleur to stop chain-slap and keeps the chain from dropping. Removing the front derailleur and going 1X also comes with the added benefit of having less to go wrong, if its not there then it can’t break, right? One less derailleur also means one less cable to be replaced when the bike is ready for a service, a small thing but it all adds up.
However, practicality has not come at the expense of style. The new Terra C GRX 1X comes in a new and exclusive radiant steel colourway specifically for the 1X spec. The classic Terra C builds have also been given an all new look, with the addition of the metallic green version. Both the Terra C GRX and the standard builds are in stock and can be found here.
If you favour more traditional aluminium frames, then the Terra G provides an excellent solution. Much like the Terra C, the Terra G also has clearance for wider tyres and room for mudguards too. Add into the mix the 105 hydraulic brakes, the OSD triple-butted 6061 aircraft grade aluminium frame paired with a carbon fibre fork and you have an extremely durable, reliable and fast all-round bike. Like its carbon counterpart, the Terra G also comes in a new colour. A copper version of the Terra G is now available, to compliment the already existing raw silver version. The all new copper Terra G can be found here.
