ORRO Bike of the Year Finalists

ORRO Bike of the Year Finalists

Road.cc - Bike of the Year review results are in and two ORRO Venturi are amongst the stiff competition.

I-Ride is proud to share distribution as a partner with ORRO bikes. Their Venturi STC and EVO models were recently named finalists in the high ranking Superbike and all round Road Bike of the Year categories respectively. Read the highlights here, with full review links below.

Venturi STC Force eTap - took third place in a line up of superbikes from the usual suspects. Within the top three featured high end road bikes it also represents the best value by a significant margin. Proving that the ride performance of the ORRO Venturi STC is competitive with superbikes which cost twice as much.

ROAD.CC - 'The 2021 Orro Venturi STC SRAM Force eTap Tailor Made takes all of the excellent qualities and attributes of the previous Venturi, but comes with smoother lines thanks to fully integrated brake hoses and some bling-looking cockpit components'

'For such a stiff frameset the Venturi offers impressive levels of comfort. You still know you are aboard a taut, high-performance machine, but there is no harshness or irritating vibration even with the tyres pumped up hard.'

'All this adds up to a bike that cuts through the air. This thing absolutely motors on the flat, especially when you hunker down into the drops.'

Venturi Evo was a finalist in the overall road bike of the year award. The latest 2021 EVO advances on the model originally reviewed by Road.cc by offering semi-integrated cable routing. The non-series chainset, the only criticism of the original review, has also been upgraded the to match the superb 105 groupset.

ROAD.CC - 'Delivering the aerodynamics, awesome handling and stiffness of the top-level Venturi STC, this Venturi Evo 105 model gives a more affordable route into Orro ownership. It's certainly a lot of bike for the money.'

'The handling is dialled and fast descents are great fun. Get the bike into tight corners and it is unflustered. The fun is helped by a short wheelbase that keeps things agile. Long rides can be ticked off in relative comfort, and with such great handling the bike helps you when the fatigue rises.'

'The Venturi has a race bike feel to it in terms of how it responds to power input. Standing on the pedals for a climb shows no bottom bracket flex. It's the same story when sprinting. The bike is excellent for getting out for a blast around the lanes.'
