Exclusive nutrition supplier to BMC Pro Racing Team

Zipvit built its business supplying high quality vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and glucosamine. In 2007 Sean Kelly’s successful AN Post Cycling Team approached Zipvit to supply these supplements. During the partnership Sean Kelly requested Zipvit develop a sports nutrition range for his riders, and Project ZV was born. Warren Bailey, owner and founder of Zipvit had a clear vision, ‘Produce the best possible nutritional products for professional and recreational riders’. To achieve this Zipvit collaborated with the Cervelo Pro Cycling Team, using feedback from training camps, the classics and Tour de France. By working directly with the riders and Cervelo nutritionist Dr Rob Child Zipvit was able to refine and improve the product range. This now includes award winning energy and recovery drinks, energy and protein bars, several gels and energy chews. All the products set new benchmarks for nutrition, effectiveness and taste, easily meeting the demands of recreational, amateur and professional riders. The highly acclaimed recovery drinks include research proven lactic acid buffers and immune boosting colostrum and deliberately avoid soy, gelatine or other low value proteins.

The advantages provided by Zipvit’s innovative products were quickly recognized by
professional riders. As a result, Zipvit were chosen as exclusive nutrition supplier to
the RadioShack team, ahead of more established brands. In just two seasons Zipvit’s
attention to detail has translated to incredible race results. The ZV Sport range has
fueled Cervelo to number 1 team in the world, RadioShack to the top team at the Tour De
France and World Championship wins for Kristen Armstrong, Thor Hushovd and Emma
Pooley. The latest Zipvit Sport product to be released is the ZV7c Gel which packs twice
the carbohydrate punch of its competitors, with double the caffeine kick of a Red Bull.
These features mean riders need to carry fewer gels, translating to less weight, bulk
and better value for money than competing products.
